Today, I unveil The Rise - the film.
Almost two years after releasing the tracks, I invite you to dive into an experience that goes far beyond a visual album. Just like The Calling four years ago, I poured my heart and my soul into it. And that’s exactly what it’s about: the soul, rising. Our consciousness, lifting.
This film takes you on a journey, one that is deeply personal and yet universal. The Rise is not only blurring the line between music videos and cinema, it’s about transformation. It’s about breaking through, rising beyond, and reaching the essence of who we are.
Once again, I bare myself to me, to you, in profound intimacy. Yes, The Rise is fiction, but it is deeply inspired by true events.
It’s a bold, ambitious project. Perhaps too ambitious for an independent artist like me, handling everything from A to Z. A project that demanded immense resources, time, and dedication.
And yet, I would never have made it without the +30 incredible people who brought their talent to this luminous convergence of art over the past three years and made it possible.
The Rise is the result of one year of tracks composition and recording, six months of script writing, a week of shooting, nine months of post-production and one year of festival touring. It is a work like no other.
The Rise bridges music and cinema in an innovative and unexpected way: the script that drives the film’s narrative was built entirely upon the lyrics of my songs. Yet at the time of writing them, I had no idea they would become a film. Christophe Arnould helped me dig deep, to understand why I had chosen certain words.
And then it all clicked: the small stories within each song were connected, forming one grand story, the story of The Rise.
After being screened in cinemas and at various events, winning prizes at film festivals, The Rise is now available to all, online.
The access to the film is tips-based as your support sustains this largely volunteer-driven artistic journey and helps fund its next chapter.
The Rise is not something to be consumed in a fleeting seven-second scroll. It’s a work to be savored, to be digested, sometimes even revisited.
I am sharing with you not just the film, but a deep dive into its universe, what it has represented over the past three years, the behind-the-scenes, the making-of, a fully filmed cine-concert, team testimonials, and more.
No, today is still not the day you’ll see me dancing to a trending TikTok.
Instead, you’ll immerse yourself in moments of life that may mirror your own, in reflections that might resonate with your thoughts, in synchronicities that may feel unsettling, and in realizations that just might shift something within you.
Are you ready to Rise ?
